The last time AMC did a de-merger with PPX in 2000, the PPX stock did well for nearly two years from 2000 to 2002 with a rally of over 50%.
But then from 2003 on, presumably either due to poor management, or changed market conditions, or both, it sank at least 70%.
Which proves the value of remaining active and watchful as an investor to me.
