This is Camile Farah`s comment on the publication that adds a bit more context!!!

"This is the latest from our research group showcasing the power of Optiscan's intra-oral optical biopsy platform for on-the-fly clinical use for real-time diagnosis of oral cancer and dysplasia. Diagnostic accuracy 88.9%, sensitivity 86.8%, specificity 92%, PPV 94.3%, NPV 82.1%. 100% of cancer cases were diagnosed accurately. These figures far outstrip any other diagnostic procedure or adjunctive tool compared to traditional histopathology. The future is exciting for real-time digital pathology."
