Orbis were buying even today (surely they could have been the only ones), so I am dumbstruck that they did not know what was going on.
Difficult to tell whether Orbis will be bailing out or averaging down. Orbis are Buffet style investors:
"Our philosophy is not about investing in high or low growth, big or small, or strong or weak companies. Instead, we aim to invest in companies whose share prices do not reflect the intrinsic value of the underlying business. "
Presumably Orbis would make further enquiries of whether the company has hidden anything else from investors, satisfy themselves about the truth and fairness of the financial statements, and if they believe the company represents good value, it will keep buying.
If it is not satisfied about the value of the company, they could sell out and wouldn't even want to think what that would do to the company share price.
