I dont think I believe any of the arguments put forward here. The buyer could have achieved the same impact with a buy order of 100,000 or 150,000. At that level if I wanted to sell say 50000 I would have been nervous that it was going to disappear and with market forces as they are if I intended to sell I would have taken the bait

At 500,000 and partly filled my tiny mind thinks someone wants to get a stake and will pay more so would be prepared to offer a bit higher because even if that buyer doesnt pay up others tend to.

Now someone with that sort of money also normally is not an idiot and the only accumulation method that has worked has been the picking up of smaller quantities over a number of days / weeks. So why put it all in the market - the brokerage cannot be the issue.

So I have to think its either a small public investment holding company who has issued an instruction or someone testing to see if there are any loose shares. To go up on a down day is good to go up over a three day trashing is outstanding.

Then if the whole market is retreating - and looking at my stocks retreating faster among the smaller players I would not have a buy order on PGC unless I was short the position I wanted.

Firsova suggests they want a big slice - That will have to be purchased over a time frame and I think they could do it easier - Or is this order to push up the DRP price?
