By now you should know that Intevia locks are overwhelmingly superior to all the alternatives. They are each internet/3G addressable and use much less current than others so require just a small battery that lasts for the shelf life of the battery, up to 3 years. The price is comparable or even lower, especially with those competitors with heavy associated lock/furniture, and they use negligible battery power and have sensor/feedback capability. Hotel door locks have limited intelligence with controlled access via programmable cards and cost a fortune in comparison. This new generation fastener leaves all others in its wake. When available as a retrofit I will be installing them in all external doors and windows in all my properties. The advantages for remote security monitoring and general functionality make them compelling.
