Thank you Shortchange for the very detailed response. I'd imagine they would want to work out the nature of the aquifer. No point worrying too much until you know what you are dealing with, but sillier still not to investigate. Anaconda found an aquifer estimated to contain several Sydney Harbours a few years ago, so the water resource may be valuable in its own right. Disastrous though if it impedes access to ore bodies.

Does WM's buying mean another 2 week curfew? Hope he reckons he's getting a bargain.
