Actually, by WA standards, the ore at Wiluna is considered more difficult to extract the gold from the ore. Most of the U/G ore is refractory and contains Arsenic and Antimony (the mine was man-powered for the recovery of these during WW2). Arsenic can be nasty and Antimony impacts on the purity of the bars produced and can impact recovery.
Having said this (and as pointed out by others), the mine ran very well using roasting technology and then changed to Bio-Leach. The Bio-leach works extremely well, as long as it is run the way it is supposed to - on a steady state. There should be no issues with recovery.
