Hello all I am relatively new at sharebuying in my SMSF,...

Hello all I am relatively new at sharebuying in my SMSF, although have watched markets for some years. I am not a trader, largely intend to be a buy and hold for longer term person, interested in franked dividends as well as long term gains, not much fussed by market movements.

My worst buy has been some ORG at $7.70 but the renounceable rights value has now offset my loss on my ordinary shares.

Should I sell the rights and the ordinary shares now to come out square and invest in something else, or take up the rights and accept the likely fall after the rights convert and wait for potential longer term improvement?

    Any thoughts?
