I sold out of origin today and moved the monies into WPL -
Right now the market is discounting the retail business to zero, with valuation based on ALPNG - Which is fair and profitable.
But seeing what is happening with our communist party is doing to intervene to add new supply at uneconomical price points, I don't see how origin can compete in the medium term.
Yesterday deal with transgrid to supply NSW with renewable from SA was the final straw for me, the project is part funded once again by our federal communist party. Don't take my word for it, read it on AFR. they didn't call out Liberals as communist, but they are pretty much acting this way for the greater good.
Anyway, this is my final whinge about ORG - it is a shame, one day all our transmission will be public owned, like they once did before sold / privatetized.
