    goodaye JT,
it was not clear to me whether the BTEX was found in the wells themselves, or if it was found in the evaporation ponds.

if ORG operators sampled the water directly from the wells is one thing.

But if the water was taken from the evap ponds, that is another thing.

Because if taken from ponds, that introduces the "sabotage" issue which an earlier poster promulgated. I had not thought of that possibility.

is BTEX just diesel? I have no idea. If it is, then anyone with a tractor is a suspect.

What an easy way to delay, distract, cause fear in the minds of the public.

Whilst I am not suggesting this is the cause of the contamination, we should not poo-poo the idea of sabotage - just remember the greenies in Tasmania putting nails in trees to damage and possibly injure the loggers. Chaining themselves to trees etc, etc. So it is not beyond the realms that a die-hard opponent might do it - its so easy and cheap and effective.

    The timing is HUGELY coincidental.
To me whats interesting is that ORG did not seem to make an effort in trying to calm the public's perception of what the ramifications are from this discovery of BTEX.

    cheers
