Fraccing is a hot topic for the eco-loonies. ORG are only stimulating coals which are soft compared to the Shales being fracced with some controversy in the USA. Lower pressures less fluid additives would be needed for coal.
(Diesel was once commonly used for fraccing, and is readily available , so someone with intent to disrupt, but who is ignorant, could use it to form an apparent association with CSG fraccing)
The APLNG EIS doesnt disclose exact chemical composition of fluids used for drilling or fracturing. They just say they use treated fluids, usually water.
At this stage I doubt that they would delay any decision - it would have already been drafted and ready for press by now. If anything it points to desperation by the eco-loons to try and derail an upcoming approval. The fact that ORG has acted to report the BTX is a good sign for any Sane Eco-Responsible person, that the companies are serious about their Eco responsibility.
Cheers
