My understanding is that Kraken is basically just an industry specific CRM. This is a good thing and from what I've read it is a much needed update to the customer interface in the industry.
If they can spread across industries it looks to be a great investment. Also it appears the cost of servicing customers will reduce quit a bit - a good thing.
Octopus appear to be a gentailer who rely on this software to basically automate everything.
I'm not sure if it does, but if it can link tariffs to costs, it will likely benefit all parties. I see the retailers taking the risk of market price as a big issue in the competitive market and any software which can reduce that risk would be valuable to an energy retailer.
