Its looking great indeed. The thing what strikes me with Octopus is that they positioned themselves as a forward-looking, positive company compared to utilities as British Gas, EDF or Origin. These companies have been screwing customers for so long, that people only complain about them for shitty service, high cost or high fossil fuel. While Twitter only gives a narrow view, it portrays to me that Octopus engages with it s customers pro-actively, introducing new tools regularly to help and reward them to shift their energy use. This draws the people/companies to them who have already invested in their own battery, EV, PV installation and let Octopus reap the rewards by optimizing their roles in the energy market.
My main concern with Octopus is that they grow to fast and become a shitty utility like all others. A source in the Times described the CEO as Icarus-like, so lets see what the future brings…
