    There are actually three positions at play here (not 2):

    1) Vote YES (toe the company lines but as Yaq has rightly said, ESG have shown the competition their data room and nobody has eventuated YET)

    2) Vote NO (Just slap the NO vote on the table right now -- what the hell!! There is a long term calculated risk the NO vote wont be the end of the world as rightly pointed out by msa on another thread - thumbs up for that post by the way)

    3) Vote NO in the absence of a superior offer by SANTOS. This is the position of ESGSAG. It gives SANTOS an open opportunity to increase their offer before we lay down our vote! As to how happy we would be with any revised offer from SANTOS?? That is an individual choice.

    How badly do SANTOS want the YES vote to get over the line?

    Whichever of the 3 options you have adopted for yourself, they are all perfectly valid.
