There has been regular concern about the environmental practices of Orocobre's brine extraction process, particularly in regard to water consumption and impacts on biodiversity.
There have been many articles focusing on the impact of mineral extraction and water consumption at Salar de Atacama in Chile.
Some posters try to conflate the Chilean issues with Orocobre's processes.
I think this is an uninformed mischaracterisation of the Olaroz joint venture in Argentina.
