oromin santa rosa comments

I was trawling through OEL's Argentina JV partner Oromin's website and was a bit bemused by the following comment:

"It is expected the initial exploration work will include the drilling of up to three exploration wells to around 1,250 meters each. There will be a program of surveying and seismic work carried out over the Santa Rosa dome prior to drilling."

Why three wells? Would have thought that if the first well comes up with a good oil discovery and the seismic confirms a massive structure you'd just keep on drilling wells and getting them into production, like CVN's JV in Thailand. Maybe the emphasis should be on the word 'initial'. Oromin's main exploration focus seems to be on their Senegal gold prospects. Maybe OEL could negotiate the operatorship of Santa Rosa in time?
