I am behind the times.
this tenocyte therapy where stem cells ( are they stem cells?) , anyway cells taken from patella or wrist and grown until enough to be injected into elbow to " fix" tennis elbow condition
this therapy IS available in australia ONLY ( at present) .a doctor must assess person's condition and either refer to a specialist OR a specialist can do it all without a GP referral.
but in 99% of cases involving a specialist , they like a GP to start the process. much like a solicitor handing case to a barrister.
at least medicare covers most of GP cost.
but specialists do what they can...and may cost a lot.
Orthocell recieves $ for thier work but I imagine profit margin is not at high end .
