For a man who is not at all camera shy, he has been surprisingly low key for many months now.
There have been tapes and a video (I think) but nothing in which it is clear when the recording was made. (kidnappers have their victim holding a newspaper)
There must be propaganda advantages for the US not to tell us even if they knew of his death. A sworn enemy who can't strike back can't be all bad.
