I think Osama is still alive and well. He could be in Pakistan or neighbouring country as many people there are muslim fanatics that would treat him like a god.
It's not that hard to hide in that area especially when he could easily have changed his appearance.
Anyhow he also might have been bombed in a cave at Tora Bora.
