Yeh, a no brainer,you think there is a burglar, the other half is not in bed next to you,logic would say maybe the noise I heard is her. But assuming you weren't thinking that clearly,why has she locked herself in the bathroom with only two of you in the house. Either way,wouldn't you find out where she was before you started shooting.
Just my take on the situation.
