As much about PNG politics , world green politics and future funding ( USD ) along with any partner in Alaska buying in at a decent rate.
Underlying oil price is nt parallel to LNG price and LNG driven by demand that involves massive infustructure that requires long term amortisation. Look for infustructure demand for LNG for power generation and industrial demand to see possible Growth in LNG demand going forward.
Supply side LNG- even with low interest rates other projects struggling to approve capital expenditure and to get scale so they can be low on cost curve.
Might get a bounce with oil price rise but that will just be showing a pick up in the economy or manipulation of output .
Lowest cost long term ( greener than oil , fracked gas or shale) energy is the real world driver that will push OSH IMO . To line all those ducks up will be slow and gradual then a awakening if they manage it and get a few goals and not have any setbacks especially with PNG politics. Change in PNG politicians , ministry may be a catalyst for better or worse I can't tell.
Bloody mixed bag dealing with LNG at the minute and trying to stock pick. Might be better having a option punt on oil futures - bigger leverage , lower risk of capital. Just to get the timing right. . Tough market
good luck
PS Botton off consulting elsewhere . Not sure how tight the golden handcuffs were but would be very disappointed if he consulted with a possible bidder in next 2-3 years.
