Found it via an AFR article as I was looking for a resource company to move into for a long term buy. Fundamentals look nice and whilst PNG is about as stable as a spinning top that has been spinning for over 40 years, I’m convinced Australia will step in if it falls over.
Yes, the situation is ripe for a revolt as the government is about as corrupt as my grandpa’s HDD after he tried to install a number free screensavers on XP. However, I doubt the general population has the ability to mount something like the Arab Spring.
Opinions aside, the region needs lots of LNG, Oil Search has it, is good at selling it and reckons there is heaps more where it came from.
