it's not about omicron. vaccines and boosters don't work for everyone, and some wont even get a vaccine...
there will always be a cohort of people needing ventilation - there is no treatment for these patients, and its bloody expensive for hospitals/patients (costing hundreds of thousands in some instances): there is value here. if they can replicate what they have for the under 65s, and even show efficacy with higher doses for the elderly, an EUA will be very very likely. the issue right now is who is going to fund trials... not fair to say the ship has sailed yet, and rem-l most likely to get approval for agvhd mid-later next year (if the OTAT outcome looks good).
