    Oh ok,

    I thought it was 1%. so 0.5% could create a $100,000 position with only $500 starting capital?

    Are CFD margin calls any different to normal margin calls? It's the amount of money required to keep the position in surplus right? and that's what makes CFD's or any leveraged investment so risky is that if you go long and the price drops, you could end up paying thousands and thousands to cover a $500 trade.

    I've never used borrowed money to invest but i'd like to put money on the aus economy turning around in the next few months and making some healthy gains.
