There was a very interesting segment on the 7:30 report last night that featured a British Muslim leader. He had spoken to Hilaly and gave him very strong advice that all sermons should be preached in the language of the land - English in Australia. This would avoid any misinterpretation and would all help all those non arab muslim with their prayers.
He was very careful not to comment on the sermon in question but did conceed that the translation that Kerry O'Brien had was "about right".
