In other interesting news, Linc has applied to drill two new oil wells in the Barber’s Hill field. The reason this is interesting is because in the BRR [AGM] report given by Scott Broussard he mentions [at 7:03 BRR] there has been little drilling below 7500ft [2200m] for the past 80 years across the Gulf Coast.
These new wells will be 9000ft deep [2450m], into the sub-salt, and represent the first new exploration using 3D seismic at that depth.
“A public hearing on the Drilling Permit Applications of Linc Energy Operations, Inc. will be held by the Mont Belvieu City Council at their regularly scheduled meeting on January 14, 2013 at 6:00 P.M. in City Council chambers on 11607 Eagle Drive for the drilling of two (2) new 9,000' wells for the production of oil and gas. The proposed wells: Higgins 20 and Kirby B 35 are located within the city limits of Mont Belvieu in Barber's Hill field.”
