    Sorry, haven't seen those robots.

    I just watched a video (look up "orihime D" on youtube if interested) about a robot cafe in Japan where the robots are remotely operated by disabled people. Someone who can't walk, for example, can control the robot to deliver cups of coffee to customers, giving the disabled person a job and sense of self-worth. The inventor says that in future people might use such a robot to look after themselves. That is, you control your own robot to look after yourself in old age.

    A disabled person might be able to monitor the Hx remotely.

    Japanese are relatively accepting of robots, e.g. as companions in old people's homes. This may have something to do with the shinto religion, where there are spirits not only in trees, rivers, animals, but also in inanimate objects like a TV or robot. Also, Japan has been building robots for some time, so Japanese are used to the idea.

    It may be the case that Hx will be accepted more in some cultures than in others.
