most of the companies listed on the ASX that produce silver do so as a by-product of producing other metals such as lead, zinc, and copper. So, majors such as Newmont Mining (ASX: NEM), South 32 (ASX: S32), and Sandfire Resources (ASX: SFR) are worth mentioning here, but also not worth mentioning, because silver contributes only a very small fraction to their net profits.
