I finally had some time to do some research on your hypotheses regarding diapir's and this alone put a compelling arguement as to the likelihood of gas at 105.
Then couple this with the already known of CONOCO and the Chinese gas fields and Dongfang in general. This does present as a done deal as to the gas. Especially when one compares the geology of both areas. What we know of is that there is a 25 km gap between the CHinese gas fields and the 105 spud location. This is before the proximity of 13-2-1 which is reasonable to have a strong suspicion of proximity given CONOCO's reluctance to mention the exact location.
Link all of this to KC's chat the other day and it justifies the move on NEN. I would expect that when brokers join the dots they will really get after NEN especially with the other prospects and what is planned for next year.
