There are a number of other companies around the world working on artificial skin and I like to compare the product Polynovo is developing with them.

One company is Smart Matrix (unlisted) from the UK that is using Fibrin as their Scaffold.

I sent the link off to Calzada for comment and have received the following reply

BTM is a fully synthetic product that has been shown to reliably integrate in full thickness wounds in a large animal model, allowing rapid neo-vascularisation (less than ten days), closing the wound immediately after debridement (reducing inflammation), minimising contraction and therefore scaring, it is easy to store and to produce.
This ticks every box that Smart Skin wants to achieve-
    Other major BTM advantages:
    - Polyurethane chemistry, much less expensive than fibrin
    - Easier to manufacture, large volume manufacturing
    - Can be manufacture in large size up 1 m x 1m
    - Dry storage
    - Low water vapour losses
    - NovoSorb biocompatibility tested at 100% TBSA equivalent
    - Robust

Polynovo are extremely confident in their product when compared to others and It will be interesting when the current trial results are successfully in and CZD can move onto the trials for artificial skin.

I think the end of year selling is an opportunity so will maintain a buy
