2 new contracts in texas Redflex Traffic just keeps rolling along, 2 more big contracts in middle Texas.
Word in the US is that RTS quietly bowed out of the Houston tender, said to need a sub $4K a month quote to succeed with the added cost of huge citation numbers to be processed and big political muscle in favour of ACS. Top decision to pull out, the RTS guys keep their eyes firmly on the bottom line result for each potential contract and this one at Houston clearly did not measure up.
Meanwhile they have already announced 4 good contracts in Texas and from various news reports and council minutes I reckon they have at least another 5 in Texas where they have already been selected. All other competitors have not even got off the starting blocks in this new state.
