I do agree wth you, bodo, Punter and others that Ben has under-provisioned for it's potential bad debt.
But I doubt it's about Hursts bonus.
The board as a whole would have to discuss and endorse the financials.
I think it is probably part of the "shaddow boxing" surrounding the GTP case where BEN is not publicly acknowledging any possiblity of being wrong.

Nice "hedge" having BEN shares.
They win the case......The shares go up..you profit on the shares.
The lose the case....The shares basically stay where they are...You win on the GTP deal.
Mike Hurst, in an effort to increase his bonus, boosts BENs profit...The shares go up.
Mike Hurst leaves....Im not sure what that does to the shares..but you are happy anyway.
