BBG stands for a lot more than just the Billabong brand.....also included is
RVCA , Tigerlily, Von Zipper, Element, Dot-Dash, Nixon, Kustom, Da KIne, Palmers, and I think Honolua Bay.
Even if you (very incorrectly) thought no-one on a global level is interested in Billabong anymore....and I agree Formguide/Goblin - I too, am personally not interested in Billabong branded product anymore (its oversold for my liking and become too mainstream) - but you'd really be dead wrong to think some/all of the above are'nt cool or retailable brands.
BBG along with so many other very experienced outfits (Harvey Norman, Myer, DJ's, JB HiFi...etc ) are all victim of 'THE PERFECT STORM' to hit retail. Its really as simple as that.
The thought that cheap knock-offs are sinking them would only hold weight - if it sunk Nike, Adidas, Oakley and every other label knocked off in tourist Asia !
