guys, I just closed my shorts today. imagine how much I am pissed off now :)
But..., it's good news actually. Of course, it will tank tomorrow (my shorrrrts!). But Iron Ore chief Sam Walsh becoming CEO is very good news. RIO is mainly Iron Ore digger afterall.
Writeoff are bad but they're one-off and has more to do with Balance sheet, not with future potential earnings from Ore expansions and Mongolia copper/gold mine (I hope they won't write down that Mongolia one :))
It will be a very good entry when the dust settles. For me, tonight, a toast to my shorts. I am gonna miss them tomorrow :(
