Whatever term you use it doesn't escape from the fact that Australia's demographics have substantially changed from those of the early 20th century.
Australia is no longer a country with a majority of any single race, religion or cultural group.
The ABC reflects this through it's broadcasts.
Just because it doesn't reflect what you see around your breakfast table doesn't mean it isn't true.
