Michael Francis Lynch [ born 1951, [1][Order of the British Empire|CBE]], AM is an Australian arts administrator.
He was General Manager of the Sydney Theatre Company 1989-94. He was then General Manager of the Australia Council, the Federal Government's arts funding and advisory body, 1994-98. In 1998 he became director of the Sydney Opera House, and from 2002 to 2008 he was chief executive of the South Bank Centre in London.
Lynch has overseen the successful rehabilitation of the Royal Festival Hall, which was re-opened in October 2007 by The Queen (King George VI having opened the original building in 1951). The project ran heavily over budget, however, and Lynch's contract was not renewed the following year [2].
Lynch was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM)[3] in the Queen's Birthday Honours List of 2001 for services to arts administration (principally as Chief Executive of the Sydney Opera House) and in 2008 he was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the Birthday Honours.[4]
In March 2009, Lynch was appointed a director of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.[5] He is also a member of the Board of Film Victoria.[6]
On 27 May 2011, Lynch was appointed as CEO of West Kowloon Cultural District Authority by the Hong Kong Government
Cheryl Sarah Bart AO is an Australian lawyer and company director.
Bart was educated at Moriah College in Sydney[1] and graduated from the University of New South Wales with degrees in commerce (1984) and law (1986). She began her career as a banking and finance lawyer at Mallesons Stephen Jaques, and from 1990 to 1995, was national business development director of the firm.[2]
Bart has been the chairperson of the Alcohol Education and Rehabilitation Foundation, ANZ Trustees Limited, the South Australian Film Corporation, the Adelaide Film Festival, and the South Australian Environmental Protection Authority. She is also serves as a non-executive director on numerous company boards including: Spark Infrastructure Limited, ETSA Utitilies, Shaw of Australia, Growth Properties Limited, and the Buckland Foundation.[3]
On 3 June 2010, she commenced a five-year term on the Board of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.[4]
