Sore as it may sound,it needs to be reminded every now and then of the plight of the people in early and later Australia.
When I read this article from the media I am reminded of the ethnic cleansing in Tasmania,or the deliberate eradication of the indigeneous people in the founding of the Swann colony in W.A.
But the concerning matter of the flippant attitude of saying my generation had nothing to do with it is a reminder what Germany still feel's from the legacy of the territorial invasion and the ethnic cleansing in the Eastern Steppes of Ukraine and I don't have to mention the obvious murder mills.
We owe it to future generations to investigate our history and we do encourage them to do it.---- BUT not just Bradman ,Gallipoli,Holden or the meeting of Benalonng with first fleet
It is for social justice and recognition of our Australian ancestors that through them we aim for a higher standard.
