    Those averages are not really based on much. 30 year, 50 year, 100 year averages are absolutely meaningless.

    The earth is like 5 billion years old.

    Every day in the papers they have mean, max, average, record high and low for that day. Whenever I seem to look at it the record high was set decades ago.

    Imagine the horror if Sydney broke a record set say 1940 today. All the climate change activists would point the finger and play the blame game. Newspapers would have this "heatwave" as front page news. News channels would report how hot it is and so forth.

    This has gotten out of control.

    And I wonder how many pro-climate change activists base their opinion on An Inconvenient Truth as their main source? I assume quite a lot.

    You know wnat else is sad? Hurricane Katrina, as devastating as it was, would not have been mentioned in this debate if it hit Honduras.

    Oh and of course there have been bigger storms than Katrina in the past. No doubt.
