Gone onto the LKO page. Gosh what a mess !! Seems though LKO had the license and this was changed retrospective without any "consideration" by the VIC government. Whilst the state, or federal government can legislate to change rules, didn't cover existing agreements. Whether or not shareholders of LKO believe the government should drill for gas doesn't matter. It's what has been agreed contractually.

Alas the VIC government isn't alone in not realising contracts and licenses are commercial binding and breach of such agreements intentionally, or unintentionally would require compensation.

Good chance the courts will rule in favour of LKO in my opinion.
