Well marty , that reply of yours perfectly fits the negative outlook that you have
The only problem I have with negativity, is that it can drag people down & it becomes self fulfilling
We should try and stimulate positive thinking whereever possible. We must encourage hope, and if we go down , lets go down swinging.
Of course unbridled optomism is dangerous & encourages gambling & speculation & eventual loss But right now , we are a long way from that & people need encouragement ---not to be further depressed.
