The defendant is Sanika Jan. The deceased is Ruqia Haidari. Sanika Jan was married at 13 in Afghanistan. This marriage of Ruqia Haidari seems to have happened when Haidari was 21. Haidari has a previous arranged marriage at 15 which should not be allowed under Australian law, but I don't know where that marriage took place. Where is your information that Haidari was pledged to marry at age 13? She may have been, but I can't see any supporting material.
