    PM Gillard "If I had gone to an underprivileged school I wouldn't be standing here today"

    You can't beat bad luck.

    She seems to think that in her world all schools could be made equal. There would be no school any better than any other. Her plans require a higher level of skill from teachers and lecturers, a new respect for the teaching profession. Easy stuff. She agreed with a questioner that the first student to enter this new world has not been born yet. I guess she assumes that it will have the support of all political parties.
