Our existence is limited when we are not conscious (and hence separated from) off the "field of consciousness" that is the substructure of the phyical universe. I think human existence is awesome. It is awesome that the evolution of the universe has yielded sentient beings that can connect/tune-in with this "field of consciousness" via their own consciousness and comprehend to some degree the deeper hidden realities of the universe.
I agree that ego-based illusions of grandeur are ridiculous.
