re: re:our universities reliant on asian ..... There is nothing wrong with subsidising the cost of Universities with full fee paying overseas students. This only becomes a problem if Australians are missing out on places because of it.
There is as far as I know very little evidence of this and in fact due to the revenue generated from these students, should assist Uni's in offering more places and better facilities.
The problem is not Uni's offering places to overseas students it is what they are prepared to do to keep these students coming. Failing students is not seen as good business so standards are lowered so that they do not fail
