EP 389
As this area lies outside of existing 3D seismic coverage, infill 2D seismic is required to mature the identified
leads to prospect status for future drilling. Survey planning will now commence which, along with
environmental approval and land access agreements, may take up to 18 months.
EP 368
Major structural trends have been clearly defined and the prospectivity of the deeper Dandaragan trough
in the west will be further evaluated along with the planned Lockyer Deep well.
Black Swan Survey announcement
Further evaluation means "in the fullness of time" (Quote from Sir Humphrey Appleby). Looking again
at what we've looked at. If it looks good, we will do an infill seismic (Origin's old job). Put it in the "data
room" and keep our fingers crossed. If you find something there it will need a development plan.
That's probably good enough reason to have drilled RGN-1. The results from the drilling would have
been totally unexpected (low permeability in sands and high water flows) .This with the ratio of
condensate, looks to be quite different to Gin Gin 1 well just 400m away.
3,500m down is gettin closer to the Gates of Hell. The Devil don't give up his real estate without a fight.
