I am well aware of China's increasing technological abilities but, as I commented earlier, they are based on stolen western technology without which they would not have got this far and might still be using rickshaws for transport rather than Chinese manufactured Mercedes.

I do not imply lack of intelligence, as the Chinese are very smart, but their communist government until recently stifled all initiative and without the initial boost of western technology they would have taken a very long time to catch up.

The invasion possibility is in the distant future , 20 to 30 years away, by which time they will have many aircraft carriers and transports and if more Presidents like Trump do not stop them, their military will outweigh the that of the US.

They are trying to acquire a naval bases in our region and in particular on the southern side of East Timor which will give them easy access to Australia.

On the other hand, there is no chance of the US invading us.
