The big question - arising from the pilot study - would appear to be whether the improvement in efficiency of delivery using Phylogica's CPP led to an increase in the level of production of dystrophin. It would appear from Hottod's research that improved cellular uptake can 'achieve more widespread restoration of dystrophin throughout the whole body's muscle including the heart'.
All we know at this stage is that Professor Sue Fletcher was 'really encouraged' although why is not spelled out. Would the pilot study have been able to make such a preliminary assessment?
