Vintage I understand some of your points but whats this about GE not being a big chip maker ? Its huge , its a chip giant, and they are currently leading the chip race by their silicon carbide chip which is superior to most if not all.
There's are host of other chips and chipsets GE design and manufacture .
I'm really starting to wonder if all this is before your time quite understandable like many and you still think of GE as a vacuum cleaner and electric appliance manufacturer.
Again I understand some of your points and enjoy your posts but this really is something you have to come to grips with ,
GE has moved on mate from the sixties you can blame at least partly the hyper winged nut former CEO Jack Welch for this
