Answer: Because we no longer have a Governor General with the courage and balls of a John Kerr who had the country's economic future foremost in his mind when he dismissed Whitlam. Now a question for you Mike: What was the amount Whitlam's gov't borrowed from overseas via the Pakistani national bagman Khemlani? I have forgotten but I'm nearly certain it wasn't even close to the approaching $300billion that this latest Labor gov't has us Aussies in debt for.
