Ok guys, it's time for your regular post-announcement fix of Google Earth images.
As per today's announcement, UMC's Yandi Headwater (CID) target area is 20 sq kms (Rio's Yandicoogina mine is aprox 8 sq kms).
Image 1 is a view of Yandicoogina and BHP's Yandi Mine, with Yandi Headwater (30 km to the west).
Image 2 is an aerial view of Yandicoogina and to get some form of perspective of the mine's size, the blue arrow is pointing to a 220 ton dump truck. So if anyone thought that mining CID is like a chook scratching in the dirt, think again.
